Today is the 16th of June the actual day of the youth month celebration. If you are reading this here in South Africa, Happy Youth Day! . Even though on this very day the youth of 1976 were fighting for equality in education, today’s youth celebrate their freedom this day in so many different ways. Of which some of the celebrations are good and educational or have a positive impact on their lives while some have negative impacts. Many choose to wear School uniforms in honour of the students who died during the strike, they then go around the streets or go to that certain place where there are celebrations. Even though many celebrate this day by drinking alcohol and doing lots of negative things, there are a few that still do many amazing things to celebrate this day and contribute to other people’s lives positively in honour of this day. I know of people who collect books throughout the year then on this day they distribute these books to less fortunate kids so they can also read and advance their literature. I saw a post that there will be a book launch happening around Scottsville, also, my friend and her church youth are going hiking in honour of this day. Those are some of the amazing things that people do and I feel like that’s exactly what we should be doing to honour this day. Either the less I pray for you to have an amazing day, be safe, wear your mask, sanitize, and have joy!
Others are not even in the celebration mood because of how the year has been going so far. We are in the last month of the first half of the year and for many of us, it has been tough in a way that every week there’s been a need to fast and pray. It’s either you are not fasting and praying for yourself or you are doing so on behalf of your family/friend or loved one because we were all being served umgowo this first half of the year. Maybe it was just me and those around me, but I was speaking to this brother of mine from church about this and he said this same that this year just wants us on our knees through and through. Even though that’s what God wants us to do, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), He didn’t only want us to pray out of pain and hardship. He also wants us to pray in awe, giving thanks and adorning Him for all the answered prayers, success, and all kinds of wonderful things.
As I was just thinking about the hardships, the struggles, and everything that the first half of 2021 has been bringing on my way. God reminded me of my 2021 vision board. I don’t normally do yearly vision boards, I have a life vision board and for the longest time it’s been like that but this year I did the 2021 one with the things I would love to have achieved by the end of this year and in the middle of my vision board there is Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in their war chariots and others in their horses, but we trust in the power of the LORD our God.” I wrote specifically this verse because I want to trust God more this year and one thing about God He won’t give you what you are asking for in a silver platter. He will rather present you with an opportunity to exercise whatever you are asking for. So, with everything that I have been going through personally this year or what my loved ones have been going through, God is allowing me to do what I have asked Him for and that is trusting Him. At first, I didn’t realize this but I’m grateful to God who made me realize that actually everything that I am going through is a preparation leading me to my answered prayer. So, I want to say to you maybe what you are going through is preparing you for what you prayed for or it’s leading you towards what you prayed for. As hard and painful as it is but it’s all for you and your good. In Romans 8:28 God says all things work together for our good even the hard, the painful, the rough they will all work together for your good as long as God is part of the equation then rest assured.
Lastly, next month [which is my birthday month] is the beginning of the second half of the year and I just want to let you know that the latter glory will be so much better than the former glory (Haggai 2:9). Yes, the year didn’t start well but it will surely end well. It doesn’t matter how we started but we will end well in Jesus’ name. We will end the year with answered prayers, with changed situations, with more praise and worship than crying and pleading, we will end the year on a higher in Jesus’ name. We need to prepare our hearts and minds for this, we need to be ready for a miracle that only God can and will send towards us. We are of God and whatever is of God has overcome the world and everything in it. We are conquerors and over-comers through Christ and that will come to pass this last part of the year. I am trusting God about this, for both me and you, it sure shall be so.
We come before you right now, thanking you that everything we have been through this first part of the year 2021 has been preparing us for the things we asked for. We are grateful Lord because we are about to get those things, we are about to live our lives in answered prayers oh dear Lord. Thank you, Lord! We are trusting you for an amazing last part of the year, 2021. We are trusting you to meet us at our places of need in this last part of the year, Lord. We are trusting you to do what only you as God can oh dear Lord. We love so much Lord and we trust only you. We know that you said those who trust in you will and can never be disappointed (Romans 10:11). We are choosing to believe that Lord, to believe in you and your words through it all.
Carry on being our God oh Lord and doing what only you as God can!
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen! 🙌🏾
Thank you so much for reading and I do hope you will testify about your last part of the year because I believe it will be a lot more different and exciting than the first part of the year! Stay blessed!❤
